AWIT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers women and members of other underrepresented groups to the highest levels of tech leadership.

Advancing Women in Tech or AWIT (formerly known as Advancing Women in Product) is a global non-profit dedicated to advancing the careers of women and underrepresented groups, so that they can become leaders in technology. Focusing on skills-based workshops, advocacy and mentorship, AWIT actively addresses the gaps in management roles its members face going from mid-senior and director level roles into executive positions.

AWIT was founded by Google and AWS product managers in 2017 to address the gender and diversity gaps in tech management roles. Since our founding, our global network has experienced 2,000 percent growth and includes over 16,000 tech professionals. Together with our sponsors and partners, AWIT has helped over 300 women obtain senior-level roles and promotions.
